Long Time Coming!!!

I know, I know...it has been four months since my last post, things have really changed in WoW and for AOTH. Enoobe is once again our leader, some of our officers have left and some new ones are being appointed. We are restructuring the guild vault, and all of it will be discussed at the guild meeting on Dec. 6th. I will post more information about that after the meeting. But for now lets get to the fun stuff! Some of us got together to meet in person in Tennessee this month. We got some great pics, but before I release them all to you, we thought it would be fun to play a game and see who could match our real life faces with our toons....so for a 20 SLOT BAG...leave us a reply to this post with your guesses from left to right back row, middle row, then front row. I can tell you that this picture includes, Celious, Cateronya, Ayonna, Enoobe, Ashesintime, Tuantuan, Elvesblood, and Killerchick, in no particular order. I look forward to reading all of your posts and the winner will be announced at the Dec. 6th Meeting.

New Guild Leader

Due to technical problems, Enoobe has appointed Ayonna as Guild Leader. I feel this is a temporary situation and would like to remind you all that this is and always will be Enoobe's Guild.

On another note, Guild raids will be starting in September, I am hoping to see Dentar reach 70 before we start, but I feel we are ready to begin raiding Karazhan and look forward to teaching all of you first timers the ropes. To qualify for the raids, I ask that you at least have your starter PvE gear. You get this from rep points with the different outland factions, if you have any questions about how to get this gear, ask an officer, we will be happy to help get you ready for your first guild raids. Raiding is different than running an instance and I want all of you to be patient as we learn to work together. We WILL Wipe from time to time, if this bothers you, then please find another group to raid with. I want these runs to be fun for everyone, and will not accept any "blaming" if the group should wipe. Having said that, this is a serious matter and you will need to work as a team to make it happen, anyone not giving their 105% will not be invited back to raid with us again. I am working on a looting system so everyone will be allowed to get gear from each run and no one will have an unusually lucky night, check back in a couple of weeks for more information on this system.

I am proud to serve as your guild leader and want to thank all of you for supporting Avengers of the Horde.

WoW, Look at all the Level 70's

We are experiencimg a boom in our level 70 population. This is awesome!! It leads us to expectations of running heroic dungeons and raiding kara, however there are things you can do to help. Your character needs to be geared and properly spec'd for what you want to accomplish in the group. Some of you will want to tank, some dps and some heal. Whatever your preference, there will always be a spot in the raid groups for you. Knowing what you like to do and knowing how to do it well will be very important in raiding, PvP, and arenas. Take some time to read about techniques, watch videos on You-tube, learn as much as you can. And if you can't find an answer to a problem you have come across, ask the guild. Chances are, someone will know an answer or know where to get it.

Work your professions, we are currently in need of a higher level jewelry crafter, so if you are a JC, please let us know what we can do to help you level your skill.

Meetings will resume soon. Enoobe is back, but is still dealing with some personal issues and hasn't been able to plan our next meeting yet. We apologize for this, and are working on making some arrangements for a meeting soon. We will keep you posted as to time and place.

I would like to take a moment and talk about how proud I am of this guild. It seems that there are so many helpful people, Dentar, Smittyy, Barzenu, Elvesblood, and so many others are working to improve our playing experience. I am also very proud of how generous our members have been. Becuase of your generosity, we have been able to help three members obtain their first mounts at level 40!!! We are also closing in on buying that fourth tab for the guild vault as well.

Keep Up the Good Work!!

Congratulations Smigal!!!

Smigal was the first member to reach level 70!!! As this is a new guild, we have been steadily working to build a base of lvl 70 characters that will improve our guild. Many of the officers have been working hard to reach this goal, and soon after Smigal reached lvl 70, Tauntaun and Violentjaga joined the Elite rank as well. We will be scheduling a congratulatory party as soon as Enoobe returns. He has been absent due to computer problems, but hopes to have the problem resolved within a couple of weeks, until then, Ayonna and the rest of the officers can handle your questions, and concerns.

Other News

Two of our members, Enech (formerly Crazedafter) and Ophinal have been working on developing a clinic on running instances. This exciting "class" will better train members to run instances more effectively, meanwhile teaching you a thing or two about your characters. The details are still being worked out, and as soon as there is more information, we will let you know.

Changes, Changes, and yes......More Changes

Things are happening behind the scenes of Avengers of the Horde. Your Commander and Officers have been really busy working out ways to improve this guild for all members. Ayonna has been really busy leveling up to help Enoobe and other lvl 60+ members in the push to 70. Why is this important to you if you are only lvl 20? Well, first Level 70 players can protect you in an Alliance attack of the area where you are grinding. As we saw at our first party, it happens quick and you may not know it, but there are traps that can flag you into pvp, even if you are just minding your own business. Also, at level 70 you come across better gear, epic weapons and high priced items to sell in the AH. This means that your Guild Vault will always be stocked and there will always be money available to help with the cost of repairs.

Speaking of repair costs, there have been some changes to the structure of the membership. New ranks have been added and old ranks have been changed. Now members start off as Aprrentice, a rank for members under 30, with access to two stacks from the guild vault per day. At level 30, you are promoted to Acolyte. This rank is allowed 1g per day for repairs, and three stacks from the vault. At level 50, you become a Warlord. 2g per day for repairs and five stacks per day from the vault. We are still working on the officer structures, and for those of you who are interested in becoming an officer in this guild, you need to be aware that it is alot of work as well. You must be willing to work with low level members and be available for any guild needs that may come up.

We appreciate your support and loyalty while we work out the kinks, and will try to keep you posted on any important changes as they happen. Check the blog often as this will be the spot for information if you can't seem to find an officer online.

White and Grey Items in the Guild Vault

First, thank you all for working hard to deposit items in the Guild Vault it has become so full that we are taking items out to sell, just to make space for new stuff. We have only removed items that really wouldn't help anyone, like grey and white items. From now on, we are asking that you do not deposit white or grey items into the vault. Save the spaces for green and blue items or materials for professions. Even with materials, let's not put in low cost items, that way we can save the spaces for costly items that may drop in higher level zones.

We are going to start working on our 4th tab, so the money in the vault will start to accumulate again. It will cost us 1,000 gold to open this next tab. Each new tab costs twice as much as the one before it. We thank all of you for your continued support.

We are Still a New Guild!!!

This Guild has come along way in it's first month, we now have 3 tabs in the Vault, over 100 members, regularly scheduled meetings on the first Saturday of each month, and alot more stuff in the works. What we don't have is a lot of Lvl 70 characters running around farming rare or epic items that can be stashed in the vault for other members to take....yet. It is a slow process to set up a Guild. There is alot of organizing, and gold that go into making this thing work, but bare with us, We Are Working Hard to make it the best for you, our members. This is your Guild too, and you can help by leveling your character, being helpful to each other, and depositing rare items that your character cannot use into the vault. We hope that you will stick with us as we continue to grow in size and quality!

March 1 Meeting Notes

We had a great turn out at the meeting, thank you to all of you who took the time to show up. Meetings are a way for officers and members to put faces to names of members who we talk with everyday. It also gives you a chance to ask questions about the guild and learn more about what we are trying to do for this group. And you can win prizes and have a lot of fun!!! Probably the most important things discussed at the meeting were the guild vault rules, and the opportunity for rising up in the ranks of membership. If you have any questions regarding the meeting, please contact an officer for more information.

Rising up in the Ranks

Many members have asked what can they do to move up in the ranks of this guild. Enoobe has come up with the following list of things:
1. always be kind and helpful to other guild members
2. participate in guild instance runs and raids
3. Show progress in leveling you character
4. deposit money and items into the guild vault.

Enoobe and the other officers are always watching, so keep working hard!!!

Guild Vault Rules

Here are the rules for the Guild Vault.

1. You are not allowed to withdraw items from the Guild Vault for an alternate character. The items in the vault are for GUILD MEMBERS ONLY.

2. You are not allowed to withdraw items for personal profit.

3. You are allowed to withdraw armor that is an upgrade of what you are currently using, however deposit money for the item you take, be reasonable.

4. You are allowed to withdraw items to increase your profession skills, with the exception of disenchanting. You may take an item to disenchant, if you can place a better enchant onto the item. Place the item(s) you create back in the vault.

Please do not deposit items that have little value or use into the Vault. We have limited space and it costs alot of money to add more tabs.

Basic Information

Enoobe, a long time player of WOW, decided that he wanted to start a guild where the focus would be on the members, all of the members. He began Avengers of the Horde. He and his wife, Cateronya designed the guild tabard and researched the process for running a guild. It wasn't long after the decision was made. The members started pouring in and as of right now, there are almost 100 members in the guild.

Our main focus is on member relations, we want to help you connect with other members in this guild to increase your enjoyment in the game. We also want to see you complete your personal playing goals and will help in any way possible. Often if we can't answer a question about your character, we will find someone who can. When you are working on leveling up your character, we will help you connect with people in the same area to play with, making questing more fun and easier to accomplish than by yourself. We run weekly raids and are always open to bringing new people with us. We also feature a guild vault where resources are stored to help with your professions, armor, weapons, and more.

AVENGERS OF THE HORDE

Welcome to our new blog, a source for information about the World of Warcraft Guild, Avengers of the Horde on the Feathermoon server. This guild was started by Enoobe, as a way to help other players learn more about the WOW enviroment and provide a social atmosphere where players can hang out and have fun.
